How Spray Foam Insulation Augusta Works

Spray Foam Insulation Augusta seals and insulates homes, crawl spaces, shops and metal buildings across Augusta, Columbia County and the South Carolina side of the river. We spray open-cell and closed-cell foam, blow cellulose and fiberglass into attics, encapsulate crawl spaces and remove insulation that has failed.

This is cooling country. Augusta averages 82 days a year at or above 90F, and summers are long and humid. Most local homes have their HVAC ductwork running through a hot attic, and many sit over vented crawl spaces that pull in damp outdoor air. That shapes the work: keeping attic heat out of the living space and the ducts, and keeping humid air out of crawl spaces where it feeds mold and soft floors.

How a visit goes

  • Attic. We measure what is there, look at the ductwork, check for gaps around lights, vents and the attic access, and look at roof ventilation.
  • Crawl space or slab edge. We check for standing water, wet insulation hanging from the floor, vents, and signs of pests or wood damage.
  • Anything else. Bonus rooms over garages, shops, metal buildings or barns.
  • Written quote. Each area gets its own line with material, thickness or depth, R-value and price.

How we work

  • Seal first. Air leaks are closed before insulation goes over them.
  • Foam where it fits. Roof decks over ductwork, crawl space walls and metal buildings are good foam jobs; open attic floors usually are not.
  • Leave access. In crawl spaces we leave room for pest inspections and point out anything your pest company should see.
  • Say what we see. Roof leaks, plumbing leaks, rot or damaged ducts are named before work is planned.
